There are a few different factors to consider when shopping for a gas grill. These are the top features to keep in mind while checking out your options.

This ultimately depends on two factors: How much space you have, as more burners typically take up more square footage, and how many people you cook for regularly. “If you have a family of four, a compact grill will be fine,” Sidoriak says. “But if you’re regularly cooking for the whole softball team, you might want something with six or more burners.”

A built-in thermometer is a handy way to see where things stand with your cooking surface, Sidoriak says. That being said, it’s not a requirement for good results. And, if you’re a stickler for an accurate temperature, know this: “Sometimes they can be difficult to calibrate,” he warns.
